Reiki

Reiki (pronounced RAY KEY) is a japanese word meaning Universal life energy.
This energy is used as a non-invasive healing technique which is profoundly relaxing. When the body and mind are relaxed, then healing and re-balancing can occur.

Reiki is an ancient art of healing given to the recipient by placing the hands lightly in specific positions on the body, or by hovering just above. The recipient may be seated or laying down, and remains clothed throughout.
Reiki enhances energy levels, brings inner calm, relief from stress, tension and physical ailments, there is no condition that reiki would not benefit from with this treatment.

Hopi Ear Candling

Thermo Auricular Therapy (ear candling) is a very gentle and effective treatment for all kind of sinus related disorders.

The candles I use are completely safe and the treatment is non-invasive and gentle. This is a pleasant and relaxing treatment which can help the sinuses drain and clear.

Most people report a feeling of clarity and lightness after treatment. Allergy sufferers often benefit from a course of treatment just before the hayfever season and the use of decongestants and nasal sprays can be greatly reduced.

The candles I use only contain natural ingredients consisting of beeswax, chammomile, st.johns wart, cotton and the antisceptic properties of propolis.

Reflexology

Reflexology is the application of gentle pressure by the fingers and thumbs to certain specific points in the feet called 'reflexes'. These specific points are mapped out in accordance with the anatony of the body. The pressure applied during a reflexology treatment creates a stimulation of electrical energy flowing through the nerve pathways from the feet to the brain. The brain then sends these impulses to specific areas of the body and then encourages the body's own natural healing potential.

What is Swedish Massage good for?

Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This sensitivity to pressure makes it ideal for relaxation.

Besides the calming benefits, Swedish massage is good for:

    • easing muscular strain by flushing out toxins
    • improving circulation by increasing oxygen flow in the blood
    • helping to keep ligaments and tendons supple
    • stimulating the nervous system
    • reducing emotional and physical stress

Warm bamboo massage :

Gently warmed bamboo canes are used to give a deep massage. This Asian technique helps to detoxify and aid lymphatic drainage making it a good anti cellulite treatment too. This treatment will be personailsed to target your areas of concern.

Both treatments are an £35 each lasting 60 minutes.

Reiki Drumming

All cultures around the world have embraced the drum at some point in their history for healing, meditation, sacred ritual and for connecting with the Divine. Frame drums are some of the oldest musical instruments and there is evidence of ritual shamanic use as early as the Paleolithic Era. A revered and sacred tool of priestesses and holy men, indigenous shamans, nomadic and tribal communities, the use of the drum today for its ceremonial, spiritual, healing and therapeutic benefits has not changed a great deal since the time of the earliest civilisations.

Reiki is a system of natural healing which has also been in use for many thousands of years. Rei-Ki means spiritual energy or universal life-force energy. At an atomic level everything which exists in the Universe is made up of energy vibrating at different rates. Humans are also comprised of electromagnetic energy and in healing Reiki acts holistically, affecting all the energies comprising the human body, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Reiki is non invasive and has been shown to effectively stimulate the relaxation response.

Combining Reiki and Drumming creates the Reiki Drum Technique, a method of utilising the drum to introduce Reiki energy into a person's energy field to bring about deep relaxation thereby releasing deep seated tensions and achieving homeostasis. The drum rhythm reminds the body of its optimal vibration.

There have been many scientific research studies conducted to discover the effect sound and drumming have on the human body and psyche. Research has indicated that even drumming for a short period of time can induce an alpha state, brainwaves associated with wellbeing and euphoria. Drumming helps people express and address emotional issues, aiding in the removal of blockages and producing emotional release. Studies have linked drumming with positive effects on Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, emotionally disturbed teens, recovery addicts and trauma patients. I have found this therapy amplifies the already wonderful healing of reiki alone, allowing a release of unwanted emotions and the body to return to its natural homeostasis state.

Reiki Drumming sessions cost £35.

I recently had some reiki sessions with Annette, 3 in total.

I was actually very sceptical at first but was pleasently surprised by the results.

I had been feeling quite down and a bit depressed just generally low and run down in myself basically. After my sessions i had a more positive outlook on everything really, was able to deal with problems that had been bothering me as felt that i could not face them but have now done this. Just feel more confident and have a brighter happier outlook on life! I would reccommend this to everybody, give it a go!!
